How can fashion and food work together to tackle the climate crisis?
Join Emily Chan, Contributing Sustainability Editor at British Vogue, and Amy Tsang, Head of Europe at The Mills Fabrica, for a thought-provoking two-part conversation exploring the surprising connections between two industries facing many of the same challenges.
The first discussion examines why fashion and food both begin with the soil, exploring the importance of regenerative and biodynamic agriculture, the impact of pesticides and fertilisers, and the role of policy in shaping healthier systems for both people and the planet.
Building on these themes, the second conversation looks at how climate change and increasing pressure on natural resources are transforming agriculture, and how innovation is helping both sectors become more resilient. Through emerging technologies, new materials and nature-positive solutions, the session will showcase how collaboration between fashion and food can help build a more sustainable future.
Whether you’re interested in sustainability, innovation, design or the future of our food systems, this event offers fresh perspectives on two industries with more in common than ever before.

The Mills Fabrica is the innovation arm of The Mills, a Hong Kong heritage project rooted in Nan Fung Group’s textile legacy. Launched in 2018 and expanded to London in 2021, it supports sustainable innovation across techstyle and agrifood through investment, incubation, workspace, prototyping labs, events and experiential retail.
Its international community brings together entrepreneurs, industry partners and researchers developing next-generation biomaterials, circular production systems, food and ingredient innovations, and other practical responses to environmental and social challenges.
The Mills Fabrica joins Vision Festival as a partner, bringing its work on sustainable innovation across techstyle and agrifood into the heart of the programme. Over three days in September, Vision Festival draws the neighbourhood’s institutions, venues and communities into one programme, presented by Town Hall and shaped with founding partners across the area — and The Mills Fabrica’s contribution sets fashion and food side by side, connecting the entrepreneurs, researchers and industry partners building the materials and systems both sectors will depend on.
