The inaugural Artist Salon kickstarting Town Hall Presents exhibition programme, honouring the artists featured in Michael Petry’s latest book, Mirror Mirror, the Reflective Surface in Contemporary Art published by Thames & Hudson.
Celebrating Mirror Mirror, the evening offers a rare chance for all featured artists to come together for an evening of drinks, conversation, and creative connection among some of the most dynamic talents working today.
From monumental installations to the ubiquitous selfie, the artworks featured in the book capture how mirrors appeal to more than just human vanity but are objects of magic, transformation and power.
Including works from Cindy Sherman to Anish Kapoor, Yayoi Kusama and Tracey Emin, the gloriously illustrated tome presents ‘reflective’ work by more than 150 artists, many of whom are convening at Town Hall for an eclectic evening of drinks, conversation and creative connection. Amongst them are some of the most dynamic talents working today including Güler Ates, Gavin Turk, David Musgrave, Simon Hitchens, Angela Palmer, Anthony James, Roberto Ekholm, Sunil Gupta, Clare Partington, Carl Hopgood, Simon Hitchens, Sarah Pucill, Keith Milow, Deb Covell and many others.
